I only just installed the program and this is the error message I get. I am unable to do anything after this apart from closing the program.

That's a new one... I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling. Sorry I don't have a better suggestion at this point, but.. never seen that before.

It looks like you might be clicking the connect to server button without configuring things first?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the program remembers all my previous settings. Also, this error is from when I first launched into the program before I even configured anything. unless it's trying to auto-connect?
 
Sorry fresh installed worked my dumbass forgot to delete to file from the AppData folder. also, I found out that the error will still appear if I change anything under the server connection tab. what could be causing this? am I setting up something wrong?
 
It sounds like access to the DB isn't working. When you installed, did you change anything from the defaults? Meaning like the "Install just for me" or "install for everyone" prompt? I've heard once before that someone changed that to (whatever isn't the default) and something similar happened. Basically the file is written in a way RAT can't access it or something.

I'd recommend reinstalling (again, sorry) if you changed any of the defaults at all and just see if that fixes it. If so, we can try and figure out what is going on to get it installed where you want.
 
Okay, I'm getting places I have setup everything up got my config in and am able of starting the server from within the program. The next issue is once I am in the game the program doesn't show the online players or any chat logs within the game. also, I'm getting this error inside the rat log after booting up of server.

2022-11-17 11:14:56 - Error getting response from WebAPI: Unable to connect to the remote server
2022-11-17 11:14:58 - Error getting response from WebAPI: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

Sorry for all the issues I got. kinda new to all this stuff.

Such as, your current issue, can be resolved by doing what I posted in this reply to someone else.


Basically, update your webpermissons.xml file and reset the web token. Let me know if you have any other questions/problems.

After a few more uninstalling and reinstalling and doing what you have told me everything is up and running. Thank you for the help.
